Why Quranic Duas?
The Quran preserves the prayers of the prophets — Adam, Ibrahim, Yunus, Musa, and Muhammad ﷺ — and teaches us, in Allah's own words, how to ask Him. Reciting these duas connects the heart to revelation itself.

Dua of Yunus ﷺ — La Ilaha Illa Anta Subhanak
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.

Hasbunallahu wa Ni'mal Wakil
حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.

رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
Quranic Duas
Rabbana Atina fid-Dunya Hasanah
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Dua for Marriage & Family — Rabbana Hab Lana
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ، وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our offspring a comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.

Dua for Parents — Rabbi Irhamhuma
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.

Dua for Travel — Subhanal-ladhi Sakhkhara Lana
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ
Glory is to Him who has subjected this to us, and we ourselves were not capable. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.

Dua for Exam & Study — Rabbi Shrah li Sadri
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي، وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِنْ لِسَانِي، يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي
My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease for me my task, and untie the knot from my tongue, that they may understand my speech.
Sleep & Wake
Before Sleeping — Ayat al-Kursi
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ، لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ، لَّهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ…
Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth… (Recite all of verse 2:255.)

Quranic Dua — Rabbana Imana Fad-Khur
رَّبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Our Lord, we have believed, so register us among the witnesses.
Daily Life
Our Lord, Do Not Punish Us If We Forget or Err
رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ وَرَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ وَرَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Our Lord, do not punish us if we forget or fall into error. Our Lord, and lay not on us a burden such as You laid on those before us. Our Lord, and impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear. Pardon us; and forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our Protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.

Dua for Increase in Knowledge
وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدۡنِي عِلۡمًا
And say, 'My Lord, increase me in knowledge.'
Quranic Duas
Dua of Prophet Nuh ﷺ for Forgiveness
رَبِّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْأَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۗ وَإِلَّا تَغْفِرْ لِي وَتَرْحَمْنِي أَكُن مِّنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
My Lord, indeed I seek refuge in You, lest I ask of You that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers.

Our Lord, We Believe in What You Revealed
رَّبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنزَلْتَ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed, and we have followed the Messenger [Muhammad], so register us among the witnesses [to truth].

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ
My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need.

Prophet Ibrahim's ﷺ Dua for Guidance and Submission
رَّبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ وَأَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Our Lord, make us submitters to You and [raise] from our offspring a nation of submitters to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Affliction has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.

Quranic Dua for Forgiveness — Rabbana Ighfir Li Wa Li Walidayya
رَّبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established.

Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate — Rabbana La Tuzigh Qulubana
رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْوَهَّابُ
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us. Grant us mercy from Your presence, for You are the Bestower.

Our Lord, Pour Down on Us Patience — Rabbana Afrigh 'Alayna Sabran
رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Our Lord, pour down on us patience and cause us to die as Muslims.
Situations
Reciting Quranic Verses on Faith — Huwal Awwal wal Akhir
((يَقْرَأُ قَوْلَهُ تَعَالَى: ﴿هُوَ الْأوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ وَالظّاهِرُ وَالْباطِنُ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ﴾)).
He is The First and The Last, The Most显 (Ath-Thahir) and The Most Hidden (Al-Batin), and He is the Knower of all things.
Morning Duas
Reciting the Final Three Chapters of the Quran
(بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ* اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ* لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ* وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ﴾.) (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ﴿قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ* مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ* وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ* وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ* وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ﴾.) (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ﴿قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ* مَلِكِ النَّاسِ* إِلَهِ النَّاسِ* مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ* الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ* مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ﴾)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need. He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak. From the evil of what He has created. And from the evil of the darkening night as it comes. And from the evil of those who blow in the knots. And from the evil of the envier as he envies. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind. The King of mankind. The God of mankind. From the evil of the whispering deceiver. Who whispers in the breasts of mankind. From among the jinn and mankind.

Rabbana La Tu'akhidhna
رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا، رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا، رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ، وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا، أَنْتَ مَوْلَانَا فَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or err. Our Lord, do not place upon us a burden like that which You placed upon those before us. Our Lord, do not place on us a burden greater than we can bear; and pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy upon us. You are our Protector, so help us against the disbelieving people.
