Dua of Prophet Musa ﷺ for Deliverance

رَّبِّبِمَاأَنْعَمْتَعَلَيَّفَلَنْأَكُونَظَهِيرًالِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ

Transliteration

Rabbī bimā anʿamta ʿalayya falan akūna ẓahīran lil-mujrimīn.

Translation

My Lord, for the favor which You have bestowed upon me, I will never be a supporter of the criminals.

Context

When Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) saw the man he had killed from among the Egyptians, he turned away in fear and supplicated to Allah. He sought refuge from supporting wrongdoers after Allah had favored him with guidance and knowledge.

Benefit

This dua is a powerful declaration of allegiance to justice and a rejection of wrongdoing. It shows the Prophet Musa's ﷺ commitment to not aiding those who transgress Allah's limits, even when facing difficult circumstances.

When to Recite

Recited by Prophet Musa ﷺ when he feared for his life and sought refuge from supporting wrongdoers.
