رَّبِّإِنِّيمَغْلُوبٌفَٱنتَصِرْ

Transliteration

Rabbi inni maghlubun fantasir

Translation

My Lord, indeed I am overpowered, so give victory.

Context

Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) uttered this plea to Allah when his people continued to reject his message and mock him, despite his long years of calling them to Allah. He felt overwhelmed by their persistent disbelief and sought Allah's direct intervention and help.

Benefit

This dua acknowledges one's weakness and reliance on Allah for victory against overwhelming odds, whether they are personal struggles or external opposition to truth.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ، وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our offspring a comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.
