Translation
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

Sayyid al-Istighfar, or the Master of Seeking Forgiveness, is a comprehensive supplication that encapsulates the essence of a believer's relationship with their Creator. The supplicant then expresses commitment to Allah's covenant, seeks refuge from evil deeds, recognizes divine blessings, confesses sins, and ultimately implores forgiveness from Allah, the sole forgiver of sins, as narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari.
