رَبَّنَاأَفْرِغْعَلَيْنَاصَبْرًاوَتَوَفَّنَامُسْلِمِينَ

Transliteration

Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa tawaffana muslimeen

Translation

Our Lord, pour down on us patience and cause us to die as Muslims.

Context

This is the supplication of the People of the Book when they witnessed the miracles of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) and the overwhelming power of Allah. Despite seeing the truth, they initially reacted with fear, but then turned to Allah with this profound plea for steadfastness and a righteous end.

Benefit

This dua is a powerful request for divine strength to remain firm in faith during trials and a plea for a complete submission to Allah until the very end of life.

When to Recite

Recited by the believers in the time of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) when faced with overwhelming circumstances.
