Quranic Dua: Lord, Remove Us From This City

Source: Quran 4:75

رَبَّنَاأَخْرِجْنَامِنْهَٰذِهِالْقَرْيَةِالظَّالِمِأَهْلُهَاوَاجْعَللَّنَامِنلَّدُنكَوَلِيًّاوَاجْعَللَّنَامِنلَّدُنكَنَصِيرًا

Transliteration

Rabbana akhrijna min hadhihi al-qaryati adh-dhalimi ahluha waj'al lana min ladunka waliyyan waj'al lana min ladunka naseera.

Translation

Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressors, and appoint for us from Yourself a protector, and appoint for us from Yourself a helper.

Context

This supplication is made by believers who are oppressed and unable to practice their faith openly. They pray to Allah for deliverance from a city whose inhabitants are unjust and harmful to them.

Benefit

This dua is a powerful plea for divine intervention and rescue when facing overwhelming persecution and injustice from a community.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ، وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our offspring a comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.
