Translation

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need. He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak. From the evil of what He has created. And from the evil of the darkening night as it comes. And from the evil of those who blow in the knots. And from the evil of the envier as he envies. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind. The King of mankind. The God of mankind. From the evil of the whispering deceiver. Who whispers in the breasts of mankind. From among the jinn and mankind.

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that reciting these three chapters (Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas) is a powerful means of seeking Allah's protection. He instructed Abdullah ibn Khubayb (may Allah be pleased with him) to recite them every night before sleeping, as they would suffice him against all harm.

Benefit

Reciting these profound chapters is a direct appeal to Allah for His divine protection, shielding the believer from all forms of evil, envy, and hidden harm through His infinite mercy and power.

When to Recite

After Fajr and Asr prayers, and once before sleeping at night.
