I seek refuge in the Lord of the Dawn, from the evil of all that He has created, and from the darkness of the night when it deepens, and from the evil of those who practice sorcery, and from the evil of the envier when he envies.
Context
This is Surah Al-Falaq, one of the two Mu'awwidhatayn (verses of seeking refuge) revealed in the Quran. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to recite these surahs for protection, especially during the evening.
Benefit
Reciting this surah is a powerful way to seek Allah's protection from all forms of evil, both seen and unseen, especially those that manifest during the night.
When to Recite
After Asr prayer, and before sunset.
