Translation
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of what He has created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
Context
The Prophet ﷺ was taught to recite Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas, known as Al-Mu'awwidhatayn, for comprehensive protection. He would recite them regularly, especially in the mornings, evenings, and before sleep, and when he felt unwell. These surahs were revealed specifically to seek Allah's refuge from all forms of harm.
Benefit
Reciting Surah Al-Falaq is a powerful means of seeking Allah's protection from all created evils, including the darkness, sorcery, and the destructive force of envy. It instills peace of mind and strengthens one's trust in Allah as the ultimate Guardian.
When to Recite
Recite three times after Fajr and Maghrib prayers, and three times before sleep.
