Quranic Dua for Protection from Disbelievers' Persecution

رَبَّنَالَاتُسَلِّطْعَلَيْنَامَنْلَايَخَافُكَفِينَاوَلَايَرْحَمُنَا

Transliteration

Rabbanā lā tusalliṭ ʿalaynā man lā yakhāfuka fīnā wa lā yarḥamunā.

Translation

Our Lord, do not empower over us one who does not fear You or show mercy to us. This is a plea for divine protection against those who would oppress us.

Context

This supplication is found within the story of Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) and his people. When Musa (peace be upon him) prayed to Allah, his people were also instructed to turn to Allah for help against their oppressors.

Benefit

Reciting this dua invokes Allah's protection against unjust rulers or groups who act without fear of Him or compassion for His creation.

When to Recite

Can be recited at any time, especially when facing oppression or fear from unjust individuals or groups.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ، وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our offspring a comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.
