Translation
Jesus, son of Mary, prayed, 'Our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, for You are the best of providers.'
Context
This supplication was made by Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) when his followers asked him to ask Allah to send down a table spread with food from the heavens as a sign and a source of sustenance. Allah granted this request, making it a celebration for them and a clear sign of His power.
Benefit
This dua beautifully illustrates reliance on Allah for provision and seeking signs of His divine power. It shows the importance of asking Allah directly for what is needed, even for seemingly extraordinary requests.
When to Recite
A powerful supplication to recite when seeking Allah's provision or asking for a clear sign of His support.
