Prophet Sulayman's Dua for a Unique Kingdom

قَالَرَبِّاغْفِرْلِيوَهَبْلِيمُلْكًالَّايَنبَغِيلِأَحَدٍمِّنبَعْدِيإِنَّكَأَنتَالْوَهَّابُ

Transliteration

Qala Rabbighfir li wa hab li mulkan la yanbaghi li ahadin min ba'di innaka antal-Wahhab.

Translation

He said, 'My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You, only You, are the Bestower.'

Context

This supplication was made by Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him) when Allah the Almighty granted him immense power and authority. He humbly asked for forgiveness and a unique dominion that no one else would possess after him, acknowledging Allah as the ultimate Giver.

Benefit

This dua teaches us to seek Allah's forgiveness even while receiving blessings, and to ask for unique favors that are solely from His grace, recognizing His absolute power to bestow.

When to Recite

Recited by Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him) during a time of great blessing and authority.
