Transliteration
‘Abdullah bin Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas and the two Surahs of seeking refuge (Al-Falaq and An-Nas) in the morning and evening three times each. They will suffice you in all respects."
Translation
Recite the chapter 'Say He is Allah, the One' (Al-Ikhlas), and the two seeking refuge chapters (Al-Falaq and An-Nas) when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning. Recite them three times each, and they will suffice you against all harm.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instructed his companion Abdullah bin Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him) to recite these three chapters of the Quran twice daily. This practice was taught as a comprehensive protection against all forms of harm and evil.
Benefit
Reciting these chapters provides a powerful spiritual shield, offering Allah's protection against any potential harm or distress, bringing immense peace of mind.
When to Recite
After the Asr prayer (entering the evening) and after the Fajr prayer (entering the morning), three times each.
