Before Sleeping — The Three Quls

Transliteration
Qul Huwallahu Ahad … Qul a'udhu bi-Rabbil-falaq … Qul a'udhu bi-Rabbin-nas
Translation
Recite Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, and Surah an-Nas three times each, then blow into your palms and wipe over your body, starting with the head and face and the front of the body.
Context
This practice, deeply rooted in the prophetic tradition, involves the recitation of the three "Quls" – Surah al-Ikhlas, Surah al-Falaq, and Surah an-Nas. As narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would perform this ritual before retiring for the night. This act culminates in blowing into one's palms and then wiping them over the body, beginning with the head and face.
