Evening — Refuge from Anxiety and Laziness

اللَّهُمَّإِنِّيأَعُوذُبِكَمِنَالْهَمِّوَالْحَزَنِ،وَأَعُوذُبِكَمِنَالْعَجْزِوَالْكَسَلِ،وَأَعُوذُبِكَمِنَالْجُبْنِوَالْبُخْلِ،وَأَعُوذُبِكَمِنْغَلَبَةِالدَّيْنِوَقَهْرِالرِّجَالِ

Transliteration

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazan, wa a'udhu bika minal-ajzi wal-kasal, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhl, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal

Translation

O Allah, I take refuge in You from worry and grief, from helplessness and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, and from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men.

This profound supplication, frequently recited by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), encapsulates a comprehensive plea for divine refuge. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

Glory is to Him who has subjected this to us, and we ourselves were not capable. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.
