Going Up and Down Hills

قَالَجَابِرٌرضياللهعنه:((كُنَّاإِذَاصَعَدْنَاكَبَّرْنَا،وَإِذَانَزَلْنَاسَبَّحْنَا)).

Transliteration
Qāla Jābiru raḍiyallāhu ʿanhu: Kunna idhā ṣaʿidnā kabbarnā, wa idhā nazalnā sabbḥnā.
Translation
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whenever we ascended a height, we would say, 'Allah is the Most Great,' and whenever we descended, we would say, 'Glory is to Allah.'
Context
This practice was observed by the Companion Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) and his companions during their travels. It reflects a natural way of remembering Allah in response to the changing terrain, acknowledging His greatness when climbing and His glory when descending.
Benefit
This practice instills a constant awareness of Allah's might and majesty, turning the physical act of travel into an act of worship and remembrance.

While ascending or descending hills and elevated terrain during travel.
