Dua for Restlessness in Sleep — Allahumma Gharat an-Nujumu

اللَّهُمَّغَارَتِالنُّجُومُوَهَدَأَتِالْعُيُونُوَأَنْتَحَيٌّقَيُّومٌلاَتَأْخُذُكَسِنَةٌوَلاَنَوْمٌيَاحَيُّيَاقَيُّومُأَهْدِئْلَيْلِيوَأَنِمْعَيْنِي

Transliteration
Allahumma gharati an-nujūmu wa hada'ati al-'uyūnu, wa anta Hayyun Qayyūmun lā ta'khudhuka sinatun wa lā nawmun. Yā Hayyu Yā Qayyūmu ahdi' laylī wa anim 'aynī.
Translation
O Allah, the stars have set, and the eyes have grown calm, and You are the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all existence. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes You. O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, quieten my night and make my eyes sleep.
Context
Khalid ibn al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) complained to the Prophet ﷺ of insomnia and restlessness at night. The Prophet ﷺ taught him this specific supplication to recite when he lay down to sleep.
Benefit
This dua invokes Allah's perfect attributes of being Ever-Living and Self-Sustaining, asking Him to bring peace and sleep to a restless night, trusting in His control over all creation.

Recite this dua when experiencing restlessness or insomnia before sleep.
