Dua for Forgiveness Before Salam

((اللَّهُمَّإِنِّيظَلَمْتُنَفْسِيظُلْماًكَثِيراً،وَلاَيَغْفِرُالذُّنوبَإِلاَّأَنْتَ،فَاغْفِرْلِيمَغْفِرَةًمِنْعِنْدِكَوَارْحَمْنِي،إِنَّكَأَنْتَالغَفورُالرَّحيمُ)).

Transliteration
Allahumma inni zalamtu nafsi zulman kathiran, wa la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa anta, faghfir li maghfiratan min 'indika warhamni, innaka antal-Ghafurur-Rahim.
Translation
O Allah, I have wronged myself greatly, and none can forgive sins except You. Grant me a forgiveness from Your presence and have mercy upon me. Indeed, You are The Most-Forgiving, The Most-Merciful.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to his companions to recite in the prayer, after the final Tashahhud and before the Taslim (ending the prayer). It is a profound admission of wrongdoing and a direct appeal to Allah's boundless mercy.
Benefit
This dua seeks Allah's forgiveness and mercy, acknowledging our own shortcomings and recognizing that only Allah can pardon our sins. Reciting it sincerely can bring immense relief and a sense of spiritual cleansing.
When to Recite
After the final Tashahhud, before saying Salam to end the prayer.
