Dua Before Salam — Asking Allah by His Attributes

((اللَّهُمَّإِنِّيأَسْأَلُكَبِأَنَّلَكَالْحَمْدَلَاإِلَهَإِلاَّأَنْتَوَحْدَكَلاَشَرِيكَلَكَ،الْمَنَّانُ،يَابَدِيعَالسَّمَوَاتِوَالْأَرْضِيَاذَاالْجَلاَلِوَالْإِكْرَامِ،يَاحَيُّيَاقَيُّومُإِنِّيأَسْأَلُكَالْجَنَّةَوَأَعُوذُبِكَمِنَالنَّارِ)).

Transliteration
Allahumma inni as-aluka bi-anna lakal-hamdu la ilaha illa anta wahdaka la sharika lak, al-Mannan, ya Badi' as-Samawati wal-ard, ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram, ya Hayyu ya Qayyum, inni as-aluka al-Jannah wa a'udhu bika min an-nar.
Translation
O Allah, I ask You, by Your perfect praise, for You are the One worthy of all praise. There is no god but You, alone, without partner. You are the Bestower of Favors. O Originator of the heavens and the earth, O Possessor of majesty and honor, O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting and Sustainer of all, I ask You for Paradise and seek refuge in You from the Fire.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to be recited after the final Tashahhud and before the Salam in prayer. He instructed his companions to say it when they wanted to ask Allah for something specific, invoking Him by His greatest names and attributes.
Benefit
This supplication is a powerful way to seek Paradise and protection from Hellfire by acknowledging Allah's absolute sovereignty, His unique right to worship, and His boundless generosity. It highlights the importance of calling upon Allah with reverence for His majestic attributes.
