Transliteration
Translation
O Allah, set me far apart from my sins as You have set apart the East and the West. O Allah, cleanse me of my sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. O Allah, wash me of my sins with snow, water, and hail.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would say this supplication after beginning his prayer, before reciting the Quran. It is a profound plea for spiritual purification and distance from wrongdoing before engaging in the most sacred act of worship.
Benefit
This dua seeks Allah's help in achieving a deep spiritual cleansing, asking Him to create a vast distance between the believer and their sins, akin to the separation of East and West.
When to Recite
After the opening Takbir (Allahu Akbar) and before Surat Al-Fatihah in every prayer.
