Transliteration

Subhana Rabbiyal A'la

Translation

Glory be to my Lord, the Most High.

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would often repeat this phrase during his prostration in prayer. It is a beautiful declaration of Allah's perfection and transcendence while in the most humble posture.

Benefit

Reciting this in sujood glorifies Allah in a state of deep submission, acknowledging His supreme majesty. It is a direct connection to the Divine in prayer.

When to Recite

During prostration (sujood) in any obligatory or voluntary prayer, at least once.
