Dua Before Sleep — Seeking Refuge in Allah's Noble Face

اللَّهُمَّإِنِّيأَعُوذُبِوَجْهِكَالْكَرِيمِ،وَبِكَلِمَاتِكَالتَّامَّاتِالَّتِيلَايُجَاوِزُهُنَّبِرٌّوَلَافَاجِرٌ،أَنْتُقَلِّبَعَلَيَّاللَّيْلَوَالنَّهَارَ،وَأَنْتُصِيبَنِيوَحْدَةٌ،أَوْخَوْفٌمِنْعَدُوٍّ.

Transliteration
Allahumma inni a'udhu biwajhik al-karim, wa bikalimatik at-tammati allati la yujawizuhunna birrun wa la fajir, an tuqalliba 'alayya al-layla wa an-nahar, wa an tusibani wahdatun, aw khawfun min 'aduwwin.
Translation
O Allah, I seek refuge with Your Noble Face, and with Your Perfect Words, which no righteous person or wicked person exceeds, from turning over the night and the day upon me, and from being struck by loneliness or fear of an enemy.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to his companion Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to recite before sleeping. It is a comprehensive plea for divine protection against the passage of time and potential fears.

This dua provides deep spiritual security, asking Allah to safeguard one from the unsettling changes of time and any form of fear or loneliness, ensuring peace before sleep.
