Funeral Prayer Supplication — Allahumma Aghfir Lahu

((اللَّهُمَّاغْفِرْلَهُوَارْحَمْهُ،وَعَافِهِ،وَاعْفُعَنْهُ،وَأَكْرِمْنُزُلَهُ،وَوَسِّعْمُدْخَلَهُ،وَاغْسِلْهُبِالْمَاءِوَالثَّلْجِوَالْبَرَدِ،وَنَقِّهِمِنَالْخَطَايَاكَمَانَقَّيْتَالثَّوْبَالأَبْيَضَمِنَالدَّنَسِ،وَأَبْدِلْهُدَاراًخَيْراًمِنْدَارِهِ،وَأَهْلاًخَيْراًمِنْأَهْلِهِ،وَزَوْجَاًخَيْراًمِنْزَوْجِهِ،وَأَدْخِلْهُالْجَنَّةَ،وَأَعِذْهُمِنْعَذَابِالقَبْرِ[وَعَذَابِالنَّارِ])).

Transliteration
Allahumma ighfir lahu warhamhu, wa 'afihi, wa'fu 'anhu, wa akrim nuzulahu, wa wassi' mudkhalahu, waghsilhu bil-ma'i wath-thalji wal-baradi, wa naqqihi minal-khataaya kama naqqayta ath-thawba al-abyada minad-danasi, wa abdilhu daaran khayran min daarihi, wa ahlan khayran min ahlihi, wa zawjan khayran min zawjihi, wa adkhilhu al- Jannata, wa a'idhhu min 'adhabi al-qabri [wa 'adhabi an-nari].
Translation
O Allah, forgive him and have mercy on him, grant him well-being and pardon him. Make his resting place honorable and his entrance spacious. Cleanse him with water, snow, and hail, and purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from dirt. Replace his home with a better home, his family with a better family, and his spouse with a better spouse. Admit him to Paradise and protect him from the punishment of the grave and the Fire.
Context
This is a profound supplication the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught Muslims to recite during the funeral prayer. It is a plea to Allah for the deceased, asking for His immense forgiveness, mercy, and protection as they transition to the afterlife.
