Dua for a Traveler — Zawadaka Allahu Al-Taqwa

((زَوَّدَكَاللَّهُالتَّقْوَى،وَغَفَرَذَنْبَكَ،وَيَسَّرَلَكَالخَيْرَحَيْثُماكُنْتَ)).

Transliteration

Zawwadaka Allahu al-taqwa, wa ghafara dhanbaka, wa yassara laka al-khaira haithu ma kunta.

Translation

May Allah provide you with taqwa (consciousness of Him), forgive your sins, and make goodness easy for you wherever you may be.

Context

This supplication is recommended for a resident to say to a traveler departing from their home. It encapsulates comprehensive good wishes for the traveler's spiritual and worldly well-being.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
