Morning Remembrance — Subhanallahi wa Bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah and praise Him)

((سُبْحَانَاللَّهِوَبِحَمْدِهِ:عَدَدَخَلْقِهِ،وَرِضَانَفْسِهِ،وَزِنَةَعَرْشِهِ،وَمِدَادَكَلِمَاتِهِ))(ثلاثَمرَّاتٍإذاأصبحَ).

Transliteration

Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi: 'adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinata 'arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi (three times)

Translation

Glory be to Allah, and praise is due to Him, by the number of His creation, and by His pleasure, and by the weight of His Throne, and by the ink of His Words. (Recite three times)

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this profound supplication to be recited in the morning. He instructed his companions to say it three times, emphasizing its immense reward and the vastness of Allah's attributes it encompasses.

Benefit

Reciting this transforms a simple remembrance into an ocean of praise, acknowledging Allah's infinite creation, His contentment, the grandeur of His Throne, and the boundless extent of His words.

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

We have reached the morning and at this very time the whole kingdom belongs to Allah. Praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner; to Him belongs the kingdom and all praise, and He is over all things omnipotent.
