Transliteration

Subhanallah!

Translation

How perfect Allah is! This is a declaration of Allah's absolute perfection, often uttered in moments of surprise or when witnessing something astonishing.

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this brief yet powerful phrase to be said when a person is surprised or startled by something. It redirects the immediate reaction from shock to the remembrance of Allah's might and glory.

Benefit

Reciting 'Subhanallah' in such moments shifts focus to Allah's greatness, helping to maintain composure and recognize His power in all circumstances.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
