Prostration of Gratitude for Good News

((كَانَالنَّبيُّصلىاللهعليهوسلمإِذَاأَتَاهُأَمْرٌيَسُرُّهُأَوْيُسَرُّبِهِخَرَّسَاجِداًشُكْراًلِلَّهِتَبَارَكَوَتَعَالَى)).

Transliteration
Kana an-Nabiyyu (peace be upon him) idha atahu amrun yasurruhu aw yusarru bihi kharra sajidan shukran lillahi tabaraka wa ta'ala.
Translation
When something pleased the Prophet ﷺ, or good news came to him, he would fall down prostrating in gratitude to Allah, the Blessed and Most High.
Context
The Prophet ﷺ would show his immense gratitude to Allah by performing sujood (prostration) whenever he received news that brought him joy or something that pleased him. This was a direct physical expression of thankfulness to his Lord.
Benefit
This act teaches us to immediately turn to Allah in gratitude for blessings, big or small. It strengthens our connection to Him by acknowledging His favors with humility and devotion.
When to Recite
Upon receiving any good news or experiencing something that brings happiness.
