Dua for Visiting the Sick — La ba'sa, tahoorun insha Allah

لابَأْسَ،طَهُورٌإِنْشَاءَاللهُ

Transliteration

La ba'sa, tahoorun insha Allah.

Translation

There is no harm, it will be a purification, if Allah wills.

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would say this when visiting a sick person, reassuring them that their illness was not a cause for concern and would, with Allah's permission, serve as a purification of their sins.

Benefit

This dua offers comfort and hope to the sick, reminding them that their suffering can be a means of spiritual cleansing and expiation of wrongdoing.

I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
