Dua for Wearing New Clothes

(اللَّهُمَّلَكَالْحَمْدُأَنْتَكَسَوْتَنِيهِ،أَسْأَلُكَمِنْخَيْرِهِوَخَيْرِمَاصُنِعَلَهُ،وَأَعُوذُبِكَمِنْشَرِّهِوَشَرِّمَاصُنِعَلَهُ).

Transliteration
Allahumma laka al-hamdu anta kasawtanihi, as'aluka min khairihi wa khairi ma suni'a lah, wa a'udhu bika min sharrihi wa sharri ma suni'a lah.
Translation
O Allah, all praise is due to You. You have clothed me with this garment. I ask You for its goodness and the goodness of what it was made for, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what it was made for.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to be recited when wearing new clothes. It acknowledges Allah as the source of the garment and seeks His protection from any potential harm or misuse associated with it.
Benefit
This dua expresses gratitude for blessings and seeks divine protection, ensuring that new possessions are a source of good and not ill.
