Dua for Entering the Market

عَنْعَبْدِاللَّهِبْنِبُسْرٍ،أَنَّالنَّبِيَّصَلَّىاللَّهُعَلَيْهِوَسَلَّمَقَالَ:«مَنْدَخَلَالسُّوقَفَقَالَ:لَاإِلَهَإِلَّااللَّهُوَحْدَهُلَاشَرِيكَلَهُ،لَهُالْمُلْكُوَلَهُالْحَمْدُيُحْيِيوَيُمِيتُوَهُوَحَيٌّلَايَمُوتُ،بِيَدِهِالْخَيْرُكُلُّهُ،وَهُوَعَلَىكُلِّشَيْءٍقَدِيرٌ،غُفِرَلَهُمَاتَقَدَّمَمِنْذَنْبِهِ»

Transliteration
ʿan ʿAbdillāh ibn Busr, anna an-Nabiyya ṣallā Allāh ʿalayhi wa sallam qāla: «man dakhal as-sūqa faqāla: lā ilāha illā Allāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu yuḥyī wa yumītu wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūtu, bi-yadihi al-khayru kulluh, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr, ghuphira lahū mā taqaddama min dhanbih»
Translation
The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever enters the market and says: None is worthy of worship but Allah, alone without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-Living, never to die. In His hand is all good, and He is over all things competent. Allah will forgive him his past sins.'
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication for those entering a marketplace. It is a powerful reminder of Tawhid and Allah's absolute power and dominion, even in a place often associated with worldly pursuits.
Benefit
Reciting this dua brings immense reward, as Allah forgives all the sins committed prior to its utterance, making the market visit a spiritually beneficial act.
