Transliteration
Bismillahi wa 'ala sunnati Rasoolillah.
Translation
In the name of Allah, and in accordance with the way of the Messenger of Allah.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to be recited as the deceased is laid to rest in their grave. It is a beautiful reminder to place our loved ones into Allah's care, following the Prophetic tradition.
Benefit
This dua invokes Allah's name and acknowledges the Prophet's ﷺ guidance during a solemn moment, seeking mercy and peace for the deceased as they enter the next phase of their journey.
