Dua for Protection — Bismillahi La Yadhurru

بِسْمِاللَّهِالَّذِيلَايَضُرُّمَعَاسْمِهِشَيْءٌفِيالْأَرْضِوَلَافِيالسَّمَاءِوَهُوَالسَّمِيعُالْعَلِيمُ

Transliteration
Bismillāhil-ladhī lā yaḍurru ma‘asmihī shay’un fil-arḍi wa lā fis-samā’i wa Huwas-Samī‘ul-‘Alīm.
Translation
In the Name of Allah, with Whose Name nothing can cause harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Context
The Prophet ﷺ taught this profound supplication as a shield against all harm. Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ stated that whoever recites this dua will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity.

Reciting this dua cultivates a deep sense of reliance on Allah, providing comfort and peace of mind. It affirms that Allah's Name is the ultimate source of protection from all forms of danger.
When to Recite
Three times in the morning and three times in the evening.
