Transliteration
Allahumma inni asbahtu ushhiduka, wa ushhidu hamalata 'arshika, wa mala'ikatika, wa jami'a khalqika, annaka antAllahu la ilaha illa anta wahdaka la sharika lak, wa anna Muhammadan 'abdika wa rasuluka. (When it is evening, say: Allahumma inni amsaytu...)
Translation
O Allah, I have entered the morning and call upon You, and the bearers of Your Throne, Your angels, and all of Your creation to bear witness that You are Allah, there is no deity worthy of worship except You alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is Your Servant and Messenger.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to his companions. He instructed them to recite it four times upon entering the morning and, with a slight change in wording (using 'amsaytu' for evening), four times upon entering the evening.
Benefit
This powerful declaration affirms Tawhid (the Oneness of Allah) and the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ, seeking Allah's affirmation through His creation and establishing a strong foundation for the day or night.
When to Recite
After Fajr prayer, four times, until sunrise. And after Asr prayer, four times, until sunset.
