Dua for Protection Against Oppression

((اللَّهُمَّربَّالسَّمَوَاتِالسَّبْعِ،وَرَبَّالْعَرْشِالْعَظِيمِ،كُنْلِيجَاراًمِنْفُلاَنِبْنِفُلاَنٍ،وَأَحْزَابِهِمِنْخَلاَئِقِكَ،أَنْيَفْرُطَعَلَيَّأَحَدٌمِنْهُمْأَوْيَطْغَى،عَزَّجَارُكَ،وَجَلَّثَنَاؤُكَ،وَلاَإِلَهَإِلاَّأَنْتَ)).

Transliteration

Allahumma Rabbas-samawati as-sab', wa Rabbal-'arshil-'adheem. Kun li jaaran min fulan bin fulan, wa ahzabih min khala'iqik, an yafruta 'alayya ahadun minhum aw yatgha. 'Azza jaaruk, wa jalla thana'uk, wa la ilaha illa ant.

Translation

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and the Great Throne, be my protector against [oppressor's name] and his forces from Your creation, so that none of them may harm me or transgress against me. Mighty is Your protection, and Glorious is Your praise. There is no god but You.

Context

This supplication is taught for when one fears the oppression of a ruler or anyone with authority. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ instructed to recite this dua, seeking Allah's ultimate protection against those who might abuse their power.

Benefit

Reciting this dua invokes Allah's supreme power and majesty to shield you from injustice and tyranny. It reminds you that true strength and refuge lie only with your Creator.

I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

O Allah, suffice me with what You have made lawful so I have no need of what is unlawful, and enrich me with Your favor so I have no need of anyone besides You.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ

Glory is to Him who has subjected this to us, and we ourselves were not capable. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.
