Dua for When the Wind Blows

((اللَّهُمَّإِنِّيأَسْــــــأَلُكَخَيْرَهَا،وَأَعُوذُبِكَمِنْشَرِّهَا)).

Transliteration

Allahumma inni as'aluka khairaha, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha.

Translation

O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, and I seek refuge with You from its evil.

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to be recited when the wind blows. It is a way to acknowledge Allah's power over the elements and seek His protection from any potential harm.

Benefit

This dua helps foster reliance on Allah and seek His protection from any negative consequences of natural events, recognizing His ultimate control.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
