Dua After Ablution — Allahumma Ij'alni Minat-Tawwabeen

Source: At-Tirmidhi 54, An-Nasa'i 101. He said: 'This is a good and sound narration.'

(اللَّهُمَّاجْعَلْنِيمِنَالتَّوَّابِينَوَاجْعَلْنِيمِنَالْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ)

Transliteration

Allahumma-j'alni minat-tawwabeena waj'alni minal-mutatahhireen.

Translation

O Allah, make me among those who constantly turn to You in repentance, and make me among those who keep themselves pure.

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to be recited after completing ablution (wudu). It is a beautiful way to seek Allah's help in maintaining both spiritual and physical purity after performing this act of worship.

Benefit

This dua seeks Allah's assistance in cultivating a sincere heart that frequently repents and a body that remains in a state of purity, reflecting a complete commitment to worship.

I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
