Transliteration
Allahumma-j-'alhu lana faratan, wa salafan, wa ajra.
Translation
O Allah, make him a precursor for us, a forerunner, and a source of reward.
Context
This supplication is recited by the one leading the funeral prayer for a child. It asks Allah to make the child a means of precedence for the parents in reaching Paradise, a forerunner to greet them there, and a cause for them to receive abundant reward.
Benefit
Reciting this dua seeks Allah's mercy and comfort for the grieving parents, transforming their loss into a spiritual gain and a means of closeness to their Lord.
