((اللَّهُمَّأَنْتَعَضُدِي،وَأَنْتَنَصِيرِي،بِكَأَحُولُوَبِكَأَصُولُ،وَبِكَأُقاتِلُ)).

Transliteration

Allahumma anta 'adudi, wa anta naseeri, bika ahoolu, wa bika asoolu, wa bika uqatil.

Translation

O Allah, You are my strength, and You are my support. By You I move, by You I advance, and by You I fight.

Context

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to his companions when they faced a powerful enemy or a tyrannical ruler. It is a declaration of reliance on Allah for strength and victory in challenging encounters.

Benefit

This dua instills courage and confidence by acknowledging that all power and ability come from Allah. It helps the believer face adversity with a steadfast heart, knowing Allah is their ultimate protector and enabler.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You Your favor upon me, and I acknowledge my sin — so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

Glory is to Him who has subjected this to us, and we ourselves were not capable. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.
