Translation
O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the Earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, the evil of Satan and his traps, and from doing evil to myself or bringing it upon another Muslim.
Context
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to his companions to recite in the morning and evening. It is a comprehensive plea seeking Allah's protection from internal evils, Satan's whispers, and the harm one might inflict on oneself or others.
Benefit
This dua encapsulates a profound reliance on Allah, seeking His protection against all forms of evil, both manifest and hidden, and acknowledging His absolute sovereignty.
When to Recite
Recited in the morning, once, after saying 'Asbahna wa Asbahal-Mulku Lillah'.
