Translation

Allah is the Most Great; He is Mightier than all His creation. He is Mightier than what I fear and dread. I seek refuge in Allah, the One besides Whom there is no true god. He holds the seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His permission. [I seek refuge in Allah] from the evil of Your slave [mention the oppressor's name], his armies, his followers, and his supporters, from among the jinn and mankind. O Allah, be my protection against their evil. Glorious are Your praises, and mighty is Your protection. Blessed is Your Name, and there is no true god but You.

Context

This powerful supplication is recommended when facing an oppressive ruler or authority figure. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua to seek Allah's ultimate protection when confronted by tyranny and injustice from individuals or groups, whether human or jinn.

Benefit

Reciting this dua invokes Allah's supreme power and refuge, offering solace and strength against fear and oppression by acknowledging His absolute dominion over all creation.

Master of Seeking Forgiveness — Sayyid al-Istighfar

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and my pledge to You as best I can. I take refuge in You from the evil I have done.
