اللَّهُمَّبِكَأَصْبَحْنَا،وَبِكَأَمْسَيْنَا،وَبِكَنَحْيَا،وَبِكَنَمُوتُ،وَإِلَيْكَالنُّشُورُ

Transliteration

Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namutu, wa ilayk an-nushur

Translation

O Allah, by You we have reached the morning, and by You we have reached the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.

Context

This profound supplication, recorded in Sunan al-Tirmidhi, articulates a Muslim's complete reliance on Allah for the continuity of existence through day and night. It affirms the divine orchestration of life and death, acknowledging that every moment, from morning till evening, is sustained by His will. The declaration culminates in the recognition of Allah as the ultimate destination for resurrection.

We have reached the morning and at this very time the whole kingdom belongs to Allah. Praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner; to Him belongs the kingdom and all praise, and He is over all things omnipotent.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of what He has created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies."

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي، لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ

O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I am holding to Your covenant and Your promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your blessings towards me and I admit my sins. Forgive me, for indeed, no one forgives sins except You.
